The south Tyrolean Simon Gitl is known for his big linkups, and for his climbing partner Alex Scherl, long tours are nothing new either. Together, they combined the notorious Watzmann East Face and the North Face of the Zugspitze in 21.5 hours, using bikes to travel between the two.
